Firstly, would like to apologize on the extremely late review on the 5 in 1 steam cleaner. 🙂
Overall, I would rate this item as : Did not meet my expectation. (or maybe my expectation was kind of high after watching the youtube video, Oh well, probably we can’t expect too much with an electric gadget that cost rm350 huh?)
Below are my feedbacks on the 5 functions of the Steam Cleaner that I’ve tried.
1) Floor Steamer – Works fine. 🙂 Except that if you repeated mop on the same surface you will get a wet mess, thus do things quick. This is the only function that will be useful for me. But I would recommend using it on tiles flooring, any type of flooring (such as wood) which should not be expose to too much water should be excluded from usage.
2) Carpet Steamer – Was not able to try it out as my house does not have any carpet. But after trying the other functions of the steamer, i don’t think it will work as good. (Due to leaking, soaked carpet aren’t that easy to dealt with compare to soaked clothes)
3) Handheld Steamer – Tried it to wash sinks and toilet tiles. It did help to clean up most stains, as long as they are not old ones, However the effectiveness is less than what u can get from brushing it yourself with some tile cleaning detergent. Thus if its not for the high temperature you are seeking to kill germs, you might be better off brushing the stains yourself, though it will be tiring to your hands.
4) Garment Steamer – Not working for me. Clothes remain wrinkled and worst it was soaked. Not going to try this anymore.
5) Window Steamer. Works well on large window panes, however most windows in my house have fixed grills, thus it did not go as well for me. but for large sliding window that we usually have in the living room/balcony, these will work well.
Pros:
1) Kill’s Germs I suppose, but I won’t able to certify that though
2) Works well as a floor steamer, or window steamer (if you don’t have grills blocking that is), or plain handheld steaming to kill some germs.
Cons:
1) Leaking!!! Leaking !!! Leaking !! The water kept on dripping when I’m using it, which gets pretty annoying. Wondering if Im using it right? My clothes were soaked when I was trying to steam iron using it.
2) Water dry up too fast, need to continuously re-fill the water which is pretty annoying. Plus, you’ll need it to cool off.
3) Parts are pretty fragile. Looked China made quality. (yeah it is China made) I’m not commenting that all china made goods are of low quality, some are really good, it all depends on the Quality they would like to uphold. For this steam cleaner, the plastic is those night market standard plastic.
